An Introduction

Hello there!

This page has been so long in the making, and it is finally here! I am so incredibly excited to present to you something that I have put a tremendous amount of time, thought, and effort into. For me, this page is so much more than an extension to what I started on Instagram. In hopes of this being a stepping stone for my professional career, I also hope that this blog will allow you to get to know me a bit better, as well as for you to reap the rewards of what I have learned in mind, body, and soul these past few years.

You may be wondering why it was so important for me to start this page, especially considering how parallel and relevant the content I post on Instagram is to what I have planned for this page. First and foremost, I am a writer. There is no denying that. My Instagram started out as a microblog for myself to write on a more consistent basis. It allowed me to share some brief thoughts, and pass onto you the wisdom and complexity by which I live my life. For some, that is enough. It is enough to read my few short sentences on my posts, like it, sometimes comment, and move on with life. However, for others, I have come to realise that my words are so much more than that.

For those of you that reach out to me saying how much something has resonated with you fills me with so much joy. As you may already know, there are quite a few serious topics that I cover on my Instagram … things that I do not get to go too in depth about because of how limited the space to write is. When you reach out to me to tell me that you have had similar experiences to mine, it makes me feel like the time and effort I put into writing is worth it. My only goal in creating content is to educate you, but above all, let you know that you are not alone.

That being said, let me introduce to you the topics that I will be covering on this page:

  • Fitness

    • Here, I will go in depth about the science of fitness and human anatomy. I feel like it is incredibly important to understand, especially when you are first starting your fitness journey, why it is you do things, not just how. Our physical bodies are things that we live with everyday, yet many of us do not understand how they work. I will cover everything from what happens in the gym, to the more specific and molecular things that happen in our bodies before, during, and after work outs so that you may apply them and train in a way that works best for you.

  • Nutrition

    • Ah yes, nutrition, the food we put in our mouths that ultimately influences that reactions within our bodies. Nutrition and fitness go hand-in-hand. In order to lead a balanced and healthy life, it is important to factor in nutrition. Here, I will explain more about food composition, how our bodies interact with food substances and even share recipes that you might enjoy!

  • Lifestyle

    • Work hard, play harder, right? One of the most important things to me is to let you know that I am not just the girl that lifts. I am a multi-faceted person that has many interests that I would love to share with you. Here, I will share more about my foodie adventures (because in case you haven’t noticed, I LOVE food), travels, and even fashion. This is where I will fill in the other active parts of my personality that I think you might enjoy.

  • Mindset

    • But if you know me well enough, you will know that one of my favourite things to write about is mentality. As a person who struggles quite a bit with depression and anxiety, it is immensely important for me to pass on the tips and revelations I have found useful in my own life that might benefit yours as well. There is no one secret to happiness, everyone must discover his or her own path … but everyone deserves to be happy. We are complex beings that seek more out of life than vanity. If I have found something useful in my own life, it should not be kept a secret.

  • Diary

    • Last, this is more of a personal file where I will share more about the events and thoughts of my day-to-day life. More over, I hope that this allows you to better understand the way I think and see the world, and may be able to see me as a person that has a life and consciousness of her own behind a screen.

In general, my hope to you is that you will be able to come here to find the answer to questions you didn’t even know you wanted to ask. This is a safe space for you to feel more at home with certain parts of yourself that you may feel intimated by, or simply have not gotten to grow. In reading my entries, I hope that you discover more about yourself, and on the way, learn to love yourself just a little bit more. It is a daily struggle, especially considering how false social media portrays life to be. My mission is to NOT share a perfect life, or a life that I think you will find interesting, but to add a more humanistic and raw approach to how people interact online.

I am so excited to begin this journey with you through the coming years. In the midst of graduating, looking for a job in the adult world before going to law school, and covering the million existential crises that will be coming my way, I aim to find time to write one entry a week. My commitment to you is to share only the information that I think will impact you positively in some way, and never to share anything that might have a negative impact on you. I am looking forward to being able to write much more, Lord knows I could write pages, and I hope that you might take some time out of your day to accompany me on my journey in this world. Thank you for your constant support, and for giving me the small space on the gigantic web we call the internet to be able to make this page a possibility.
